- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup freeze-dried strawberries, pulsed into a powder
Instructions
- Prepare fresh strawberries by blotting excess moisture.
- Mix wet ingredients: whisk vanilla extract, egg, and half and half.
- Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and baking powder.
- Cut cold butter into dry mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add fresh strawberries, white chocolate chips, and crushed freeze-dried strawberries.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients without overworking the dough.
- Form the dough into an 8-inch disc and cut into 8 wedges.
- Freeze wedges for 15 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and brush scones with cream or milk.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the glaze with powdered sugar and freeze-dried strawberry powder.
- Drizzle glaze over warm scones before serving.
