- ¾ cup (170 g) unsalted butter
- 8½ cups (450 g) mini marshmallows (divided: 7½ cups (397 g) and 1 cup (53 g))
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp salt
- 7½ cups (200 g) Rice Krispies cereal
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large pot over medium-low heat until lightly browned.
- Add 7½ cups of mini marshmallows and stir until melted.
- Mix in vanilla extract and salt until blended.
- Fold in Rice Krispies cereal until coated.
- Remove from heat and add remaining 1 cup of mini marshmallows, mixing gently.
- Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch pan lined with parchment paper and press lightly.
- Cool for about an hour before cutting into squares.
Notes
Melt butter over low heat to avoid burning.
Be gentle when mixing to maintain a soft texture.
