  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • Additional bottled key lime juice (Nellie & Joe's Famous Key West Lime Juice) if needed
  • Whipped topping for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Combine melted butter and sugar in a bowl until blended.
  • Stir in graham cracker crumbs.
  • Press mixture into a 9-inch pie plate and chill or bake at 375°F for 5 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Zest and juice the key limes.
  • Whisk egg yolks until thick and light yellow.
  • Gradually add sweetened condensed milk and fold in key lime juice and zest.
  • Pour filling into crust and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Garnish as desired before serving.

Notes

For the best flavor, always use fresh key limes.
Bottled key lime juice can be used as an alternative.
Chill the pie for at least 4 hours for optimal texture.
