- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 packet (0.87 oz) brown gravy mix
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- 1 bag (12 oz) wide egg noodles
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and tools.
- Cook ground beef and onion in a large skillet, crumble meat until cooked and drain excess grease.
- Mix brown gravy with cold water and combine with beef.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup and sour cream, simmer for 10 minutes.
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions.
- Mix cooked noodles with beef sauce and garnish with parsley.
- Serve hot.
Notes
Always drain the fat from cooked beef for a lighter dish.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days.
Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
