- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 1/2 medium onion (chopped)
- 1/3 cup chicken broth
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet, sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Remove chicken, add remaining butter and sauté onions until soft.
- Add chicken broth and mushroom soup, stir until smooth and simmer.
- Return chicken to skillet, cook on medium-low until it reaches 165°F.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
