Ingredients

  • 24 stalks asparagus, washed and trimmed
  • 12 slices bacon, cut in half lengthwise

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with tinfoil.
  • Place a wire rack on the baking sheet.
  • Trim woody ends off asparagus and drizzle with olive oil; season with salt and black pepper.
  • Wrap each asparagus stalk with half a slice of bacon, seam side down.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar over the wrapped asparagus.
  • Bake for 10 minutes, then flip and bake for another 5-10 minutes until bacon is crispy.

Notes

Ensure asparagus stalks are evenly sized for uniform cooking.
Thick-cut bacon is preferred for better texture.
