- 24 stalks asparagus, washed and trimmed
- 12 slices bacon, cut in half lengthwise
- 1 tsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with tinfoil.
- Place a wire rack on the baking sheet.
- Trim woody ends off asparagus and drizzle with olive oil; season with salt and black pepper.
- Wrap each asparagus stalk with half a slice of bacon, seam side down.
- Sprinkle brown sugar over the wrapped asparagus.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then flip and bake for another 5-10 minutes until bacon is crispy.
Notes
Ensure asparagus stalks are evenly sized for uniform cooking.
Thick-cut bacon is preferred for better texture.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
