- 1 24-ounce jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
- Fine sea salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 green or red bell pepper, finely diced
- 1 zucchini, diced (about 1 cup)
- Fresh Parmesan cheese, for serving
- Hot pepper flakes, for garnish
- Ricotta cheese, for garnish
- Fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add mushrooms, bell pepper, and zucchini; sauté for 3-4 minutes.
- Push veggies aside; add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Season beef with salt and pepper; add Italian seasoning and hot pepper flakes.
- Pour in spaghetti sauce; stir well.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 5-8 minutes.
- Serve with pasta; top with cheese and garnish.
